Psychological Testing
My vision for my practice is to equip people to transform their lives through meaningful connections so everyone feels heard, seen, and uplifted. The psychological testing I provide is much more than a diagnosis. Instead, it’s a chance for my clients to feel empowered by recognizing their strengths, feeling validated, and talking with someone interested in listening to them.
There are 3 phases of testing that I take my clients through. The full process usually takes 4 to 5 visits for a diagnosis and recommendation.

The first appointment can be in person or via video call and usually lasts about 1 hour. We’ll begin with an interview. I’ll ask you about your medical, emotional, behavioral, and social history during this time.
I’ll need to give you rating scales as part of the evaluation. I cannot give a specific number of how many rating scales you would have to complete. I will send the questionnaires via email following the initial interview so you can complete them at home at your own pace.

On average, the testing phase can take between two to three appointments, each lasting about 2.5 hours. I do not require you to make eye contact or stay seated while working with me. My goal is to provide you with a comfortable space to be evaluated. Please let me know in advance if you have noise or light sensitivity. Also, I burn an essential oil diffuser in the office, so let me know your scent preference.
I will do these types of tests with you in this appointment.
IQ Test
An IQ test is not only about your intelligence but, for me, a way to identify areas of cognitive strengths and vulnerabilities. This data can help you find the appropriate accommodations if needed. I use iPads to administer the test. However, please note that there are activities where you will use paper and pencil.
During the IQ test, I will explain each subtest to you. There are practice questions so you know what is expected during the test.
The goal is to assess memory, processing speed, and problem-solving abilities. Also, to identify areas of strengths and vulnerabilities.
Experience Questions
After the IQ test, I will follow up with questions based on your questionnaire responses. Part of these questions will be about your experiences with friends and family, emotions, what you found helpful to help calm down when you get upset, and your interests. I'd like to point out that I focus on your experiences, not how you present them (e.g., social masking and camouflaging).

This appointment can be done in person or on a video call. I schedule you to come to this appointment about four weeks after the final testing appointment. Expect it to last approximately 1 hour. We’ll review the report together, and I provide you with a copy for your records.
What To Bring With You
I realize this is a lengthy test, so feel free to bring snacks and a drink. You can also bring fidgets, headphones, or whatever you need to be comfortable. But please note there could be instances where I need you to remove your headphones to hear directions.
If, at any point in the testing appointment, you are feeling fatigued, we can adjourn the testing and schedule you for another day to finish things up. The IQ test is the only part of the evaluation where you must be present in the office.
